Woman escapes death while fishing in Myntdu River

A woman from Jowai narrowly escaped death after being dragged by the strong currents of the Myntdu River on Wednesday in Syntu Ksiar.

She had gone fishing when the water level suddenly rose, carrying her away.

Fortunately, she managed to hold onto a wooden log and float until she was rescued by bystanders who witnessed the incident.
