Woman files FIR against NPP leader

A woman has lodged an FIR against National People’s Party (NPP) leader and chief adviser to the chief minister, Thomas Sangma for allegedly sexually abusing her.

Confirming this on Tuesday, East Khasi Hills Superintendent of Police Sylvester Nongtnger said that a complaint was received from a woman against the legislator. “Investigation into the matter is on,” he said.

The SP however refused to divulge further details on the content of the FIR filed against Sangma.
