Workshops for repairing of trucks exempted from curfew

The District Magistrate, East Khasi Hills District in a notification issued on Monday has informed that workshops for repairs of trucks on National and State Highways within East Khasi Hills District are exempted from the purview of the Curfew Order and Prohibitory Order under Section 144 CrPC issued on Sunday and promulgated in Shillong agglomeration and villages of East Khasi Hills District respectively.

However, the District Magistrate said that strict observance and compliance of protocols and advisories of Government of Meghalaya in respect of social distancing, wearing of masks, no spitting in public places and proper hygiene practices are to be ensured.
