World Homoeopathy Day observed in Jowai
The office of the District Medical & Health Officer, West Jaintia Hills along with the Department of Ayush celebrated the World Homoeopathy Day today to mark the 266th birth anniversary Dr. Samuel Hehnemann the founder of homoeopathy at Tpep Pale Community Hall, Jowai under the theme “Homoeopathy- Roadmap for integrative Medicine”
Additional Deputy Commissioner DD Syngai graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
Speaking on the occasion Syngai, said that through her own observance found that homoeopathy medicine is efficient and effective. It has the effectiveness to cure the disease for which medicine is taken, but patience is needed as it is not an instant cure.
Wishing the doctors has urged them to continue good work, the services to the public so that we can avail the benefits of homoeopathy medicine. She exhorted the doctors to be familiar with the advances and changes in the field of medicines. She also expressed her hope that in future homeopathy would be one of the cures of the diseases for which allopathic medicines may not have a cure.
As the cases of COVID-19 are rising in many parts of the country, she encouraged everyone not to be complacent instead take care, to follow the COVID-19 appropriate behavior and to help oneself and others.
Dr. KC Ajar, District Medical &Health Officer requested all the doctors of the district to remember the oath taken and put them into practice in their profession, to give due service to the people and the public of the district. He found that the homeopathy system is a benefit to each and everyone, a person can get himself treated in any branch of medicines he desires as long the service serves and benefit the patient and the public.
Others who spoke on the occasion were District Nodal Officer AYUSH, Dr. Bonnie T Hinge, Dr. Reality Synrem elaborated on the theme exposure and its objective, Dr. Macferore N Lamare in his keynote address described the life of Dr. Samuelin and highlighted the future of homoeopathy. Dr. Eiphrangdaka Suchiang gave a testimonial speech.
The programme was presided by Dr. Bisolin Dhar and the vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Sweeety Tariang.
